Nomination Closing Date Extended!

The Diversity@Work team is pleased to announce submissions for the 2009 Diversity@Work Awards have been extended until 5:00pm Wednesday 12 August 2009 due to high demand.  No further extensions will be offered, so get in fast.

Now in its ninth year, the awards are a major corporate event for organisations who wish to reinforce their status as employers of choice. They provide a unique opportunity to benchmark initiatives and celebrate journeys into creating diverse and inclusive environments.

Our workplaces and communities require our attention, now more than ever, and the Diversity@Work Awards have an important role to play in supporting and celebrating those who champion the creation of diverse and inclusive workplaces.

Small and medium organisation (less than 1000 employees) and large organisations (more than 1000 employees) are eligible to enter into all eleven award categories:

  1. Eight Employment and Inclusive award categories:
  2. Employment & Inclusion of People with a Disability;
  3. Employment & Inclusion of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse;
  4. Employment & Inclusion of Mature Age Workers;
  5. Employment & Inclusion of Indigenous Australians;
  6. Employment & Inclusion of Women in Leadership;
  7. Employment & Inclusion of Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, Transgender, Intersex;
  8. Today’s Youth - the Future of Tomorrow; and
  9. Work/Life Balance.

In addition there are three major Diversity & Inclusion Champion Awards recognising individuals and organisations approaching diversity and inclusion as a broader concept.
