Don't forget, entries for the inaugural Yooralla Media Awards
close this Friday October 30.
The
awards reward excellence in journalism on issues relating to people with a
disability. They cover print, radio, television and online journalism.
As
well as news and features awards, there are also categories for best photos and
best sports coverage.
If
you know a journalist who’s covered a disability issue at all during
2009, improve your relationship and encourage them to submit their work.
The
awards will be presented on December 3 by Parliamentary Secretary for
Disabilities Bill Shorten and Dame Elisabeth Murdoch AC DBE.
