Branded Services ZoomGroups is the only service of its kind that allows you to create your own "ZoomGroups" service. In other words, if you have your own website, you could have the entire array of services and tools offered by ZoomGroups under your own domain, and using your own logos, page headers, footers, etc. instead of ours, so you could offer your users all the things they could find at ZoomGroups, but without leaving your own site. We're not just talking about adding a logo to the top of the pages, but about completely replacing the ZoomGroups identity with yours. The service will run under a subdomain of your domain name, so a domain name is required. For example, if your domain is http://www.domaion.com/ the service could be available under http://something.domaion.com and the email groups will have addresses such as groupname@something.domaion.com - where something can be anything you want. How is this good for me? It may or it may not be, it depends on your needs, your reach, and what you're looking for. For example, say you're a University and you would like to offer your students and/or faculty members an environment where they could connect with each other, create their own discussion groups, buy and sell items, create their own social circles, etc. all under a unified and easily recognizable brand name set by you. Or maybe you have your own web site about a particular topic and would like to also offer these services so your users can communicate and "stick" even more to your site and services. Or perhaps this inspires you to create a new web site so you can offer these services targetting a specific audience. Do I need to provide and maintain the hardware and/or software? No, everything runs from our servers, and we take care of maintaining the hardware and software that runs the service, including web servers, mail servers, bandwidth usage, etc. Is this free? It depends. If it's ok with you that we include advertising in the web pages and at the bottom of the email messages, yes, the service is free. If you don't want us to include advertising, then it isn't. If that's your case, please contact us to receive a quote. I'd like to give my users only part of what you offer, can I? Not yet. If, for example, you'd like to give your users the possibility to create their own email groups but don't want them to use the trading area (the Marketplace), or viceversa, that's something we might offer in the future, but for now, you get the whole package and cannot exclude parts of the service. How do I request the service All you need to do is contact us letting us know who you are, what's your web site, company, organization, etc. and generally within 48 hours an ZoomGroups representative will contact you. Could my request be rejected If you request a setup for the free service, there is a small chance that it might get rejected. Because this service takes up resources and time from us to set it up for every new account, we cannot honor every single request, although we'll do everything in our power to approve as many requests as possible in a timely manner. HINT: Although it is understandable that some people would like to experiment with this service before actually getting serious about it, requests in the line of "I just want to see what this is about and play with it a bit" are the most likely to get rejected.
